Sugar Beach is quiet again.
The frenzy brought by the noisy Holy Week vacationing crowd is gone. Sugar Beach is back to her original state of peace and serenity — just as how I like it. Just as how and why I fell in love with her. It is what enticed me to create my oasis here.
It had been quite a stressful and chaotic past couple of days for me. You know, the usual lessons (aka blessings) in disguise! And they’re sure to find their way to being shared in this site.
I was laying on my bed, relishing the nurturance that I received from my much-needed massage. I was lingering a little while longer than usual when a deep red-orange ray of light, painted against the pink mosquito net canopy hanging over my bed, caught my attention. It found its way through my slightly opened window.
Aha! Sunset time!
I normally don’t head out to the beach to watch the sunset after my weekly late afternoon massage. I just wait for my dinner to be brought to my little witch house — crunchy vegetable spring rolls spiced with freshly-picked herbs (yum!). To be served this meal after my massage is part of my pampering routine. 🙂
This time, something called me to do otherwise. And I’m so happy that I did.
I quickly grabbed the bikini and bright pink sundress that I had earlier already thrown into my hamper and hurriedly put them on. I ran off in a haste. And I arrived just in time —thankfully!
Father Sun, in all his fullness and perfect roundness, in all his majesty, his commanding presence… deep…quiet… with a just as deep and quiet red-orange tint, was about to begin kissing Mother Ocean! She, in her own quiet and equally powerful presence…calm…serene… She, in a state of serenity, in full surrender…
Father Sun and Mother Ocean coming together as One. Sacred Feminine and Divine Masculine melting in each other’s arms. A moment of ecstasy. A gift to humanity. A sacred moment that I’ve been called and so blessed to see!
I feel even more nurtured! Mother Earth sure has a way of bringing Love, Joy, Peace — abundantly, effortlessly, unconditionally. Always.
It is much needed by a tired and weary soul who is now rejuvenated and whose exhaustion has been quickly and easily replaced with vigor and gratitude.
A couple who annually visits Sugar Beach recently asked me if I don’t get bored after having learned that I’ve been living here for more than a year.
When one has aligned one’s energies with simplicity, when what feeds one’s soul are those that cannot be quantified or measured, when one has learned to see beauty in all that Life is offering, appreciating it for what it is, and seeing the blessing in everything — including and especially those that are in disguise — when one who has a constant dialogue with Lady Gaia, pays attention and listens when Lady Gaia calls out as she is about to give a blessing — surely, one can never get bored.
One does not even have any room for boredom — only space and time for gratitude and appreciation — for anything and everything.
And capping a day with a glorious sunset is only one of the many. One of the countless and limitless gifts and blessings that Mother Earth is offering!
And just when I finished writing this, I took a pee and what greeted me was the luminous Full Moon, her radiance illuminating my bathroom! I chuckled to myself. It was as if she was calling out to me, “Hey, there’s me, too!” 😀
Do I ever get bored?
How can I? How can one even think it?
A week ago, I was inspired by Leigh Gaitskill’s post (Not Just Sassy On The Inside: The Journey Toward Higher Consciousness and Finding the Sassy Girl). I thought of starting my weekly blog series on things that I am grateful for. This post may as well be just the ‘perfect’ way to launch it.
How about you? What are you grateful for?
And if you’re celebrating Easter — however way you celebrate it — Easter blessings and abundance are being sent your way!
