on this “day of the dead” weekend
on my ancestors, naturally, i reflected
the healing of my core wounds at the deepest layer —
it is my foremost prayer,
the healing of my family tree —
it is my utmost plea.
may i acknowledge and embrace all that ever was,
may i honor and be grateful for all that came to pass,
the wounds, the pain — oh, i know, these too shall pass.
more releasing and clearing,
more cleansing and transmuting,
the wounds and the wounding,
anything, everything else in need of healing.
for the members of my biological and spiritual family,
for the members of my tribe and ancestry,
my cultural roots, and my country,
for all the members of society in every other country,
for every member of the entire humanity,
and for every other being all through time and throughout history,
as I continue reflecting, be it on the “dead” or on the “living”
my intention and my piece of offering,
my prayer is for the wounds to heal truly and completely,
in this lifetime and beyond and till eternity.
may I see past the limitations and miscreations of the personality,
may i see instead each one’s essence, one’s core, may i see only one’s Divinity,
may only Love be my driving force,
may I continue to be guided by and to co-author with Source,
so that as I revisit and reflect on my history,
and discover and uncover the story behind my every story,
i’ll weave what’s being revealed into a tapestry worth much more than gold,
because it’ll be My Greatest Story Ever Told.
