The veil between the spiritual and physical planes is at its thinnest during the various festivals in each season, winter, spring, summer and fall. We can use the energies of the season for spiritual development and use the Christ mysteries to gain access to great power.
In the book The Occult Christ: The Hidden & Mystical Secrets of Christianity, author Ted Andrews explains what the Christ Mysteries truly are according to the teachings of the Ancient Mystery Schools across the globe. In her book The Mystery Schools, Grace Knoche, leader of the Theosophical Society, defines a mystery school as,
“a university of the soul, a school for the study of the mysteries of the inner nature of man and of surrounding nature. By understanding these mysteries, the student perceives his intimate relationship with divinity, and strives through self-discipline and devotion to become at one with his inner god”.
There are ways that the Christ Mysteries can bring back on a personal level the mysticism and power of the Divine.
“The Christmas Festival is the Festival of the Holy Night, celebrated in the mysteries by those who were ready for the awakening of the higher self within them, or as we should say within our time, those who have brought the Christ to birth within them.”
The winter solstice is the time when the energies are most potent for humanity to awaken the Sacred Feminine within.
Although the Christmas season is usually equated with modern Christianity, practically anywhere and everywhere else in the world, there is much celebration and festivities. Yet it brings so much power and hidden meaning that is often overlooked or disregarded.
Some parts of the world celebrate Christmas, some celebrate the Winter Solstice, some both, some neither; some celebrate Hanukkah.
The day of the Winter Solstice, December 21, is a time when the sun turns northward. This is the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Thereafter, for the rest of the winter season, the sun shines longer each day.
The Winter Solstice is a festival celebrating the triumph of light over darkness, as the sun starts to shine longer. It is “victory of the sun over darkness”. It symbolizes bringing to light our inner potential — the Sacred Feminine.
The Hebrew Festival of Lights, Hanukkah, and the celebration of the birth of Jesus, Christmas, are two modern festivals of ancient origin. Lighting the yule log during this time denotes an ancient rite. It symbolizes “the rebirth of the Divine within the fires of the Mother Goddess.”
“Transformation is only possible when what is to be transformed enters wholly into the Feminine Principle of dying and return.”
— J. C. Engelsman, The Feminine Dimension of the Divine
Andrews expounds, “All life is touched by the energies playing within and upon the earth at this time of the year. The astral plane is brought into alignment with the physical, facilitating the communion and ministrations of the angelic hierarchies with humanity. The inner heart, cleansed and prepared through the autumn season, can now give birth to a new expression of energies which will germinate and unfold through the rest of the year. The Christ energies amplify this dynamic play of energy, creating a quickening on an atomic level within all of humanity.”
No matter how we choose to celebrate this time of the year, we are all touched by the energies of this season, consciously or not. We have the opportunity to attune to these energies and give birth to our inner feminine energies.
Despite darkness on the outside, this is the season when we can rekindle our Inner Light. We can awaken and give birth to our higher self. The birth of the Child Jesus is the birth of the Christ energy within each one of us. This Christ energy is the source of the Light that spreads love, goodwill and peace to all.
“Compassionate ones have always entered the earth plane at this time of the year to serve as guides to humanity. The highly evolved soul of the one we call Jesus was such a being — one who had an even more powerful purpose,” Andrews points out.
When Jesus was born, the Christ Star was shining brightly and hovering across the sky as Jesus would be the “means for the Christ’s earthly incarnation.”
What images and beliefs do you have about the Divine/Sacred Feminine?
Have you ever had experiences of “seeing the Light” after a dark time, as an insight or intuitional knowing?
We are all meant to shine. It is our birthright. In what ways do you let your “inner light” shine ever so brightly? In what ways do you allow others to dim you, the LIGHT that you truly are?
How have you embodied the Christ consciousness? How do you tap into the Christ energy within to spread love, goodwill and peace to all on a daily basis?
